The Role Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and refine optimization algorithms to enhance the profitability of our asset portfolio in day-ahead, intraday, and ancillary services markets.
• Leverage advanced Python skills to analyse large datasets, extract insights, and inform trading strategies.
• Apply your deep understanding of weather, gas market dynamics, and other relevant factors to influence and predict market movements, focusing on maximizing returns.
• Work closely with the trading team, providing analytical support that underpins successful trading decisions and strategies.
• Cultivate a culture of innovation, collaboration, and shared success, recognizing that our achievements in the fast-paced world of short-term trading are the result of collective effort and ingenuity.

Requirements:

• University degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Physics or a related discipline.
• Highly proficient in Python, with experience applying it in a professional or academic setting.
• Experienced in the energy markets, trading environments, or in developing optimization algorithms, with a clear track record of leveraging analytics for profit.
• A strategic thinker who enjoys the challenge of solving complex puzzles and making impactful decisions based on data.
• Willing to engage with a team in a collaborative environment, supporting 24/7 market operations with flexibility in working hours.
• An effective communicator with the ability to articulate complex concepts and strategies to a broad audience.
• English at an advanced level, Czech at a communicative level.
