Děčín
Děčín is the only city in the Czech Republic where one of the sources used for heat generation is a geothermal source of energy, operated since 2002 by TERMO Děčín a.s.
The firm is the only heating-sector company in the Czech Republic to use this renewable source of energy to generate heat and cogenerate electricity.
Since 2010, POWGEN a.s. has been producing electricity by cogeneration in Děčín.
